Our 12 Circuit kit can be used in just about any vehicle where basic wring is needed. This kit includes GM (column mounted) ignition switch connectors and a GM (column mounted) turn signal switch connector pre-terminated and ready to install.  Also included are pre-wire plugs for headlights and the dimmer switch.

This harness includes circuits for:

  1. Headlight Switch- Power to headlight switch.  Power wires out of headlight switch to head light dimmer switch, tail lights, dash lights and park lights.
  2. Dimmer Switch wires include power from headlight switch and power out to low and high beam headlights.
  3. Wiper Switch- Power to wiper switch.  You will need to retain the wires between the wiper switch and your wiper motor.
  4. Turn Signal Switch- Power into and out of your column mounted turn signal switch.  Also included in this kit are both styles of GM turn switch connectors.  Note: these will connect to most aftermarket and factory steering columns. 
  5. Ignition Switch- Power into and out of to fuse block (ignition, crank and accessory)
  6. Brake Switch- Power into and out of brake switch.  This includes a third brake light wire.
  7. Courtesy Lights- Power and ground circuits for dome light activation.
  8. Alternator- Charge wire and alternator field activation wires.  (Most alternators can easily be wired up to this Painless harness).  Included in kit is a high output alternator wire that allows you to use up to a 140 Amp alternator.
  9. Horn-  40 Amp horn relay mounted to fuse block
  10. Radio- Harness includes constant B+ (for preset memory) and ignition hot circuits for any aftermarket or factory radio.
  11. Starter- Crank signal wire for starter solenoid.
  12. Engine section wires including electric choke, coil power, coil to tach signal, oil pressure, engine temperature, and A/C compressor clutch control wire.
  13. Headlight section wires including right and left high and low beam headlights, turn signals and park lights.
  14. Tail section wires including tail lights, brake lights, turn signal lights,  fuel gauge sender, third brake light, and reverse lights.
  15. Dash panel section wires including fuel, temperature, oil pressure, voltage, tachometer, speedometer, high beam and turn indicators and gauge illumination.
  16. Also included in kit is a fuse block mounting bracket, rubber grommet, 4 inch zip ties, 70 Amp maxi fuse and a large assortment of crimp style connectors.

Just wanted to thank you guys for a great product. I just finished re-wiring my '51 Chevy Sports Coupe with a Painless Universal GM Harness. When I got the car, it still had the original cloth wiring that would turn to dust at even the slightest touch. It also had the original 6 volt system, a missing turn signal lever, and even a switch to give power to the coil because of a short in the ignition! Thanks to the easy to follow documentation and flawless labeling on each wire, my little sled fired up first try. This was my first re-wire and first 12 volt conversion, so I can't tell you how happy I was when it all came together.

Hello Painless, I wanted to write this letter and say what a great company this is!!! I made many calls to your tech department, and no matter want the questions were they would answer them. The tech boys were always friendly and made sure that every question was answered completely. I never felt uneasy that my questions might seem stupid. I just wanted to pass that along to them.
